Echoes of texture
At this year's 3daysofdesign, Linie Design presented the exhibition Echoes of Texture together with the Japanese lifestyle brand Karimoku Case. The exhibition was curated by renowned stylist Pernille Vest and explores the sensory and aesthetic qualities of materials through a harmonious fusion of Japanese minimalism and Nordic craftsmanship.
Handcrafted rugs from Linie Design are displayed vertically on bespoke wooden frames by Karimoku Case, inspired by Japanese Shinto gateways. This installation challenges traditional ways of presenting textiles and subtly enhances the acoustic qualities within the space. Karimoku Case’s subtle and functional design language merges with Linie Design’s depth and structure of the textile, creating an expression that is both tactile and refined.
Through a finely tuned aesthetic, Karimoku and Linie Design invite the viewer to sense, feel and reflect on the role of materials in design and architecture.
Location: Palægade 2, 1261 Copenhagen
Opening hours: 10:00-18:00

New collection
Woven Matter
The collection Woven Matter was launched during 3daysofdesign and features handwoven rugs, designed by Norm Architects and Urd Moll Gundermann.
Woven Matter draws its inspiration from the quiet strength of Japanese architecture, where form follows feeling and every line holds intention. Rooted in the principles of structure, tranquillity, and movement, the interplay of space and pause, the subtle tension between stillness and flow.
