Palette Muse
Rooted in a fascination with the emotional force of colour and the tactile richness of materials, Palette Muse unfolds as a series of woven works that explore rhythm, pattern, and texture through compositions of visual precision and sensorial depth.
Defined by colour, structure and material, each rug carries a distinct artistic edge that reveals itself through subtle disruptions.
From sketch to thread
The collection emerges from an experimental process of intuitive sketches, collages, and textile translations. Moving between spontaneity and intention, the work seeks a quiet balance between freedom and structure, energy and stillness.
Working from hand-drawn sketches, designer Urd Moll Gundermann develops compositions through an innate sense of colour and form. In their transformation into textile, these creative gestures find expression
in yarn, structure and technique, where drawn lines take on a physical presence and colour shifts from mark into thread.
Colours in motion
Subtle variations in tone and yarn create depth within the surface. Hues emerge, recede, and interact across layered fields of rhythm, graphic form and tactile structure, bringing a quiet sense of movement across the weave.
A thread appears as a subtle, visible trace – a line or shift in colour that moves throughout the compositions, connecting the works while allowing for divergence and variation.
